Status Updates From Мертвая тишина

Review:

I started to check out towards the end but the beginning half had me by the throat, ominous and dark. The second act was the weaker one with an underdeveloped villain in Max or the company Verax and a quick little conflict. I didn’t care at all for Kane and her.

- Idc for Claire/Kane so let’s make it quick and painless plz and focus on the horror/sci fi, plus him being a Dr. type makes it very coddling his concern for her PTSD
- Two head injuries now
- Oh ofccccc Kane is the only one alive
- So the ghosts Claire sees, is she clairvoyant? Cuz it’s unrelated to the Aurora vibrations

Notes:

- I have a nit to pick w writers… 30s is not old! You’re not a barren womb, or jaded beyond repair at work like she emphasizes that ppl wouldn’t know they’re too young meanwhile they’re 25 she’s 33
- It’s hard to keep up on who’s on what side like do we take treasure, the crew deserve to be remembered too, ride the Aurora or don’t, do we tell Verax or not

Claire has Diaz’s gun so she shoots the hulk and bye bye max. Shes in a suit tho and is tethered to the ship, Kane yanks her in and they escape before the Aurora explodes

Salavagers rescue them and they sell their story, she gets her own company and ship and asks Kane to stay

Reed hears his dad, attacks Claire and she stabs his eye

Security teams have killed each other off

They make it their own ship but max comes gun in hand, he has confirmation they found and removed the device

Reed is still chasing her, max shoots him dead

They plan to blow the ship after finding their equipment and blame Claire going crazy from stopping her meds

Having an affluent Verax alum Reed die too shows the company took losses too so they can’t be blamed

They get out the locked room to turn off the noise dampeners so the effects are more severe

She sees the murder of the captain and one ghost bites her cheek, the first officer was Max’s man in the inside

Max is on his villain monologue, he was tasked from Verax to make the rich guests uncomfortable and used vibrations to induce paranoia and dread so no one would want to board their competitors’ ship but it when they changed the alloy in the machine they didn't realize the effects would be extreme, the Aurora was never supposed to be found once the damage was done

Ofc they find Kane alive. Hes holed up in a room filled with mattresses, he says Nysus diverted engine power to inc noice dampeners to decrease sound of the threat, he’s talking to two ppl over his shoulder presumably Nysus and Lourdes saying she didn’t abandon them

head security officer Diaz locks them inside, Claire Kane and asshole Reed, Claire remembers not seeing body bags which she thought strange

3 weeks to the Aurora, she sees Kane and Lourdes asking if she’s ok so she tries to stop running from her memories and actually try to piece them together, notes her mom only appears when she’s in danger or panicked

They board Aurora and find the dead bodies of Nysus, Lourdes and Voller

The security team are already seeing and hearing voices too

There’s too many rich ppl on that ship to abandon it

They play a mayday from Kane that the Aurora was being attacked, so she agrees to go cuz he’s still alive

Despite being a top secret mission they’re swarmed by reporters

She sneakily stops taking her meds

Her security team is heavily armed and she tells max its a bad idea since if they go crazy they’ll start shooting, she also sees like their dead comrades
