Status Updates From The End of August: A Novel

I am only interested in reading this in full despite knowing it will be at best a three star read because her book signings get bomb threats which is sad and L for Japan.

her being a playright makes so much sense and I have seen enough shamanism in korean movies and television to not be bothered by how she uses and incorporates traditional folk religion into novel's structure.

Normally I do not do these mid book updates but I am Struggling. This guy cannot stop impregnating women who aren’t his wife so I’m having a hard time feeling bad for him and we haven’t jumped back to the present for a long while

Already encountered quite a bit of korean i unfortunately cannot understand. Only 700 pages to go.
