Maybe a 3.5 because my 7 year old really enjoyed the whole mystery! I wished they would have spent a couple chapters at the beginning connecting us to Lydia and teaching a bit about Latin in the beginning. I thought this story was very similar to the Neverending story with the darkness and such. I couldn't decide if the darkness was meant to symbolize anxiety? Depression? Sadness? I'm not sure. It was a fun book!

I thought this was gonna be a cute cozy read but it’s yapping about depression and really hitting the nail on the head with the descriptions. Still love it tho! it’s making me relate to it in a way most books don’t. Bravo Millie!
