Might be one of my favorite theology books I’ve ever read.

The gospel broadly and strictly speaking. Helpful distinctions.

Accordingly, the 10 Commandments, as promulgated from Mount Sinai, must be considered at least in a twofold point of view – namely, as the law of Christ, or the law as a rule of life to believers; and as the law, as it is the matter of a covenant of works to unregenerate sinners.

The law as a covenant says “Do and Live”. The Law as a rule from the hand of Christ says “Live and do”.
