I’m lowkey annoyed at the MC right now but I am holding out hope that there’s some really good character development

Literally still in chapter 1 and this is the worst book I’ve tried reading in 2024. I don’t think I can finish this fucking book. Where’s the editing?? Nowhere to be seen
