The trials actually gel to unique and interesting and didn’t remind me of the hunger games at all which is unfortunately so hard to find in fantasy. The only thing was the first trial did feel pretty fast paced and I didn’t really feel pulled into the story because it kind of felt like it progressed too quickly

So good so far! I was skeptical starting it, but it got recommended to me and so far I am so glad I picked it up! It has been worth the couple of hours that I haven't been able to put it down!
