Status Updates From About This Life

Just didn’t like it… found the descriptions made my eyes gloss over… some felt a bit dramatic and like they were too forced for me to find them poetic… and I guess it’s just hard reading a travel book by someone you think you might not really connect with. I did wish I could have pictures of the places he went as they sounded amazing. He’s well liked by others so maybe this just isn’t a book for me.

Loving it- started years ago- maybe 25 yrs ago? Because I used to teach Winter Dreams excerpts… this is better. What a voice. Picked it up again this dark solstice, and it has been a joy. Between this guy and Wendell Berry, I’m all set when I get in this mood.
