sebastian referring to his mom as a “woman who was too weak to protect her son and stand up to her husband” when her husband was ABUSIVE and she was an abuse victim who eventually got KILLED by her abuser is fucking crazy and poor writing. this book is terrible

the pacing of this is terrible. it’s only like 257 pages long. i’m on 80 and nothing is happening except for the characters and plot running in circles going nowhere, regurgitating the same lines and same info over and over. the writing style is boring and trite. like, extremely repetitive. the dialogue is bad. the characters have no substance but are somehow insufferable. not good.
