This one hurts my heart and grieves my soul. I find so many Scriptural truths being forsaken in his writings. I am not sure I can finish this one.

His section on union with Christ was insane. Probably going to have to read it a few more times. It seems like he says there is a mixture of us with Christ’s flesh, but not his “bodily substance”. We are conjoined to Christ. Interesting.

Richard Hooker is very intelligent. There are a few things we disagree on, but it might be more terminology than anything. So glad I picked this book up!

It’s been a while since I found a work of theology that wells up into worship in my heart as it connects dots in my head. This does that.
