Status Updates From The People in the Trees

After 100 pages I can say I’m sometimes disgusted or put off but at the same time I remain intrigued and want to go back to reading.

It’s crazy how the narrator feels empathy for a small monkey and you are like wow he has a soft side maybe he’s not that bad, just to read 2 pages of his disturbing thoughts about how disgusting his fellow female researcher is, reeking of misogyny.

going to ignore the fact that a little life ruined my life for like half a year and try yanagihara’s first novel

I'm ready to be done with this book. It better get good soon.
