Status Updates From Krieg der Welten

This one's slow. But I have to give it some slack for being the first SciFi book to write about aliens invading Earth. It's also quite comical to have these Victorian dudes encounter Martians. There's no atomic bombs to fight them, just artillery and horses and they read about the invasion in the newspapers. And before that the protagonist is taking lessons to learn how to ride a bicycle. It's quite a funny contrast.
