It’s sooo good.

⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 It’s not the kind of book with sentences that glide effortlessly off the tongue. The phrasing can feel a bit uneven at times, but it hooks you immediately and is a really fun read so far.

Very different story, in a little confused about the random italicized memories or something? But I’m halfway through and this far I’ve really enjoyed how unique the story is

It's feeling more and more like a developed and adapted True Blood fan fic

Unimpressed so far. Characters feel like fanfic creations, hard to distinguish from each other and the "charming" ones leave an ick. Monsters have vaugely racial tropes (bright blue eyes = good, cool, interesting; black skin = scary, frightening). Will persist, reading for a book club.
