Status Updates From The Magician

Today in my reading they talked about how smart well-educated and mature Ed is. His girlfriend said that he was smart and a good guy until something happened in at the prom. With his intelligence, he became a magician. This seems strange because he is so smart. It seems like he could amount to more than that.

In my reading today, I learned of a new character, Eddie. Mr. Japhet is Ed's father and he always answered all of Ed's questions. When Eddie was in Kindergarten he asked why it rained and Mr. Japhet answered with an in-depth description of why it rains.

This was the first part of the book so it was just talking about the weather and introducing the characters. It was a month after Christmas and it was still snowing. There a a character that is a magician. He has been a magician for a long time.
