Status Updates From Out of Nowhere (The Immorta...

I'm picking up on subtle sexist bias (e.g. a woman should smile and silently sidestep a man's attempt to be patronising rather than challenge it), as well as just being plain sex obsessed in any male/female interaction. The premise interests me but I'm getting the feeling that I'm going to find these aspects too distracting to enjoy the book that much.

The book is flying by, but just about every woman is drop-dead gorgeous, and each one smirks and giggles at every quip. Also, there’s a scene where the MC is mansplaining “Men” to a woman. Hmmm...

This one’s fun, and moving really quickly.

It wasn't one of my wisest choice to read this book during the last few days, but oh well, I'll try not to let that cloud my judgment. Especially since it's an SPFBO finalist and I need to be fair with it. Anyway, RTC later

Geez... Okay, I might not be in the best of the moods for romance, buts this is a bit too cheesy for my tastes. I'm also not into paramedic stuff, soldiers and cooking recipes. This one doesn't really works for me so far.

Of course there is a hot blonde with whom the protagonist can fall in love with at first sight *sigh* The last thing I needed to read about today is a love scene.

I needed a short book to get back to track with my schedule this week, and this one happened to be the shortest on my immediate TBR. So here we go. Also, this is one of the SPFBO finalists, so I'll have to read it at one point anyway.
