So far, what I'm learning about the Alamo is that the men of the Alamo acted quite stupidly, ignoring reports of the approaching Mexican army and frequenting bars and dances instead of shoring the poor defenses of the mission. No one deserves a slaughter, but you got to wonder if they could have avoided it...
