I actually hate that Lewis is a much school drama teacher bc that’s so embarrassing but otherwise wtf I am sobbing at this and there’s still well over half of this book left 😭

For a book in which part of the premise is humans turning spontaneously into animals as a medical matter of course, Habeck seems really deeply incurious about the natural world or about actually fully exploring that premise. Considering she just like, casually drops that sport hunting still exists in a universe in which you could be sport hunting someone's literal grandma, lol.

i sobbed. hard.
