The introduction of new realms and characters is interesting, but no clear reasoning or explanation which is a frustrating transition.

Someone please tell Piper that a succubus and a vampire are different entities. She needs to stop using them interchangeably. This book wouldn’t be so bad if she would stop trying to use sat vocab like she has something to prove.

I absolutely hate this book. In her first series, I thought the way she wrote and wove sentences together was magical. In this particular book half the time I’m so confused on what is happening because the characters are looking at each other and apparently just know what the other is wanting to say. I’d go on but I have a character count. This story would be great… but she screwed it up. Don’t read.

There was a bigger break in the present time that made it easier to read. The description of the Nordes was fun to visualize.

It’s starting off better than the first book. But the back and forth in time is going to hurt my brain a little until I adjust
