I think this is the most "procedural" mystery I've ever read.

Wow, this really feels like a classic noir mystery (albeit more gay.) I'm impressed with the author's straightforward, economical writing style. (Although wouldn't mind if the romance wasn't fade to black...)

It's so much fun to read a book set in a part of the world I know, with places I recognize. Right in the first sentence there's a description of the landscape I see when I lift my eyes from my Kindle to look out my living room windows. No doubt for those who live in NYC or London, seeing familiar places show up in fiction is completely mundane -- but for those of us in rural New Mexico it's a rare treat!

Wow, after hours of hard work and investigations, the plot is climaxing in this soap opera-ish, knight-saving-the-damsel-in-distress way? I'm rather disappointed and loosing interest, too.

Man, this book is long, and the mystery is so convoluted and involves many people. Lucky the MC has connection everywhere.

That's a real stupid idea, BJ, but I'm guessing it's going to work out. Way to be a hero.

Weird few paragraphs about Christianity--wondering the purpose. This reads more like a 90's historical, than a contemporary.
