This book is so funny I keep having to pause it to process

I'm here for everything about this but why did the author choose to write the 35-year-old MC as the worst manchild in history, oh my god. 30 pages in and I wish the pirates HAD thrown him overboard.

Also, the writing style reminds me of fanfiction (derogatory)

There's something so funny about reading a book and knowing deep in your heart that the author is on tumblr. In this case I did know that factually before even starting the book, but the vernacular is so familiar I'd've recognized it anyway!
