i started this book last night and i’m pleasantly impressed. the writing is beautiful. but we get dual povs and chinese words which aren’t explicitly written or translated which is a tad bit confusing. nevertheless i love rosalind’s character and orion’s personality they’re more complex than simple black cat and golden retriever tropes.

It’s great so far!! I’m so excited to see what happens next :) This book does a great job of keeping me in suspense. It’s nice that the characters are Chinese and that there is pinyin included in the novel.
