After many years of non fiction addiction this book altered my trajectory. It is so shocking rich beautiful tantalizing and horrific I could not put it down. Finishing it was a personal tragedy. Reading this at 22 was the emotional equivalent of watching Gummo at 15. I fucking love Dennis Cooper.

Maybe I’ll try this another time. It was feeling tedious.
