Status Updates From May You Have Delicious Meals

oh this book would be divisive. the middle aged dude opened the drink of a young girl in the office and tasted it, and admits this, instead of scolding him the narrator is like "i hate her" and instantly can tell they're both in agreement and suddenly bond and she's all "he likes me more than her" like wtf am i reading????! the narrator is... i think the word is a 'pick-me' girl??? this is giving me strong feelings

this is a short novella set in a japanese office. already one of the men has opened and tasted the young female colleague's drink while she was out and then put it back on her desk (!!!) this seems like a massive metaphor for how some people ARE at disregarding boundaries, like oh it's yours but i want it i'll take it nah don't like it, which always concerns me because first it's a drink then it's something else
