God so many Ember's and Lydia's POV chapters.
I don't dislike them BUT

I can't tell if we're supposed to like Wren??? I guess?? But he also spiked Ruby's drink and took advantage of her and that's impossible to get over??? I understand why the show got rid of this plotline, no way a decent person would ever be sympathetic towards Wren.

James is reading Death Note. Volume three.

I'm going to replace that with Ouran or Tokyo Babylon or Berserk or something, because it's hard to imagine 18-year-old Ruby getting so worked up over Death Note.

Everyone likes it, but no one is obsessed with it. Death Note has fans, but no fandom.

The show knew how fucked up Lydia's relationship with her teacher would be so they never established this 2 year timeline.
They just ran with she's 18 and they met outside of school. But the guy looks 35, so jokes on them.
