Status Updates From What Hides Inside (Bay City...

Started back from 50 % something, since it's been so long since I started reading this. I don't know why I let it go, I still love the investigation. (I lie, I know why: I'm not fan of romantic triangles, but this one is resolved quickly enough)

I was wondering how there could be 20% of the book left even though they closed the portal, but that part is really interesting and the fact that a juvenile got stuck on their side!!

I can of want a Bo/Dean/Sam threesome now xD

Explaining away paranormal stuff with scientific explanation ('the creatures manipulate atoms blahblahblah ') feels so so weird. But potentially cool.

At least, one of the three in said love triangle isn't actually in love but just a fuck buddy with an open mind and friendly behavior. That's the only saving grace of this 'romance'

I despise love triangle, for fuck's sake. I need to power through quickly to get fucking finally done.

I'm almost caught up to want I'd read previously. I had some trouble reminding myself of the story. Weirdly, I don't remember much of the first book.

Right, I remember what annoyed me so much about this book the first time.
Love triangle. Because why go with the sweet, nice guy who has your back and does his best to cheer you up and support you,
when you can choose the one who pushes you off and is so far in the closet he's almost reached Narnia.

I was up to 50% read, but it's been a while since I started it, so I'm going back at least two chapters to get back in the story

I'm not usually a fan of love triangle because woah, sometimes a lot of angst is too much angst, but I seriously, seriously love Dean. He's fun, he's easy, he's straightforward, and he tries to help Sam and support him in his relationship with Bo. He won't say no to a tumble with Sam, because sex is fun and awesome, but if Sam can have more with Bo, then he'll help then with rancor and that's just brilliant.

“Hey, my hobbies are all of the manly variety,” Dean declared, turning around to walk forward again. [...] Motorcycle racing, moose hunting…”
“I’m pretty sure there are no moose in Mobile.”
[...] “Okay, when I say moose hunting, what I really mean is macramé. But it’s manly macramé, dammit.”
Sam laughed. “You lie like a rug.”
Sidling closer, Dean gave Sam a purely filthy grin. “You could lay me like a rug."

Damnit, I like the Bo/Sam couple, but I'm more and more inclined on reading some Dean/Sam action! Dean is fun without being annoying.

I just realized, but... Sam the main character and Dean the second love interest? Sam and Dean, really? In a paranormal story?? #facepalm

I really like in this how Sam doesn't let himself become a dirty secret. He agrees to hide for a moment, so Bo can get his feet under him, but he also makes it clear that he won't live in Bo's closet for long and I love that :D

Bo is an asshole who leads Sam in circles, even though he's got reason to be and I can agree to give him some slack for a few months. You don't upend your whole life in a few days without having issues.
That says, if that asshole doesn't get his head on straight, I'm going to wish that Sam would punt him through the window.

Anyway, good start yet again for the paranormal stuff! It's nothing extra original, but it's well written and sounds got my interest anyway. Also, the good with a short book? No extraneous deep thoughts/too much description/too much filler before the story actually starts.

Surprisingly, the love triangle doesn't bother for now. Probably because Sam made it clear that he's trying to get things straight with Bo's closet / doesn't intend to do anything with Dean?

Aaaargh, love triangle. Damn it. Alright, let's hope that it won't get too annoying, I'm not fan of those >_<
