this was written in a really interesting style -- i think this is the first book i've read entirely in second person. the structure was also interesting, as each section was a season and each one ended with a poem. it's kind of a simple, quiet story, & kind of defeatist at the end. but i liked it. though it may have contributed to my mental breakdown yesterday lmao

the beginning of this book, particularly the first section, was so… books that hit a little too close to home :/
