Status Updates From The Incident: Space Thriller

Here I am thinking how crazy this book is talking about the ISS falling out of orbit wondering if this was written before that happened, finally decided I needed to look it up, just to see the ISS is still in orbit unto 2030. Maybe I was thinking of the Mir falling out of orbit, but that was way back in 2001, I feel like there was something more recent, maybe it was Chinese satellites?
