The plot is interesting, but I'm not enjoying this writing style of telling so many events that happened in the past. Obviously information is necessary, but there just seems to be too much info dumping, whish also cause a disconnect with the characters.

Even though they're talking about themselves, I still feel I don't know much about the main character.

I'm just getting started, but there is so much info dumping in this first few pages of the book, that it is tough to connect with the story or characters.
