SO FAR SO GOOD PALS I LIKE THE JOKE ABOUT MUSSELS

I’ve been loving this book, and the gradual introduction and development of Swan’s world (as someone who hasn’t read his first trilogy, set in this universe) is brilliant enough to where I understand the nature and politics of what is occurring.

So far, a tough read. Characters fall flat and are consistently petulant and self important. Everyone seems entitled and whiny. And, of course, every woman is beautiful. I really hope it picks up, as the magic(k) system seems intriguing.
