I'm struggling, but convincing myself to keep going (only when I remember the cover guy 😌👉🏾👈🏾) I hate dnf'ing what can I say

She tenses and looks around but nobody’s watching us.’

‘I no longer care that Max is the devil incarnate and probably entangled in whatever the fuck is going on in this city. It doesn’t matter.’

‘She stirs but doesn’t wake when I wrap my body around hers. For the first time in ages, I feel at peace with the world.’

‘I’m caught in a forcefield so powerful it feels like I’ll never escape. Max is a sun and I am a small planet stuck in an endless rotational orbit.’
