Status Updates From Playing Army

“Playing Army” is a great book: a transporting page-turner full of heart and plenty of twists & turns. That it is also a book about women leaders in the military from a writer who lived it makes it a must-read.

It fully captures the people, sights & sounds of the US Army. The characters are original and fully developed. The magic is in the failures and maturation of the crew making it compelling and satisfying.

Loving this so far! Reminds me a bit of The Women because Vietnam plays a role but it's about a female Lieutenant in the 90's who is struggling on the job and at home.
