I cannot really remember what happens in this chapter, however affection meters are now gone and replaced by colour gauges. Derrick is still a bitch and we got to see the relationship between Penelope and her father grow (highlight imo). Penelope’s coming of age ceremony is also getting some talk and also Eckles is the biggest red flag literally his colour gauge is blood red tf Penelope run bro.

The pace is better than volume 1 imo, but thats just because volume 1 was mostly world building and introductions. I have just finished chapter 8 and it was actually so fucking long, 88 whole pages. I like Callisto and Winter the most right now, Derrick can go kill himself, and Reynold is our favourite emotional support. I have nothing to say about Eckles, or as I like to call him, Shacklees.
