Status Updates From Asleep in the Sun

Deliberately, the protagonist visits the asylum again in which his wife got treated. Against his will, they drug him and keep him there. But he keeps calm and a nurse helps him out. He walks home where the doctor visits him again. They talk. All so inconsequential, not more than a sleep in the sun. A light-hearted version of The Trial.

The uncertainty of reality I noticed in his other books is there again. Lucio writes to someone not known yet about his wife. If the blurb didn't exist, it would be completely unclear why he is writing. He writes about his difficulties with her. A dog trainer took care that she got admitted to a psychiatric clinic. Somehow, he talked Lucio as well as the wife into this.
