The Absolute Best War Memoir I have read. Jünger is the definition of the „Born Warrior“ as said in the foreword. He gives his raw truthful account of what he saw on his section of the Western front. No political mentions surrounding the war or any personal opinions in that such matter. The Vocabulary, sentence structure, and vivid descriptions he uses paints the canvas and gives the reader an image.
