Status Updates From A French Princess in Versai...

So excited about this book! I started it on Sep. 5 not today 😂

Page 55 of A French princess in Versailles. Maude's fans were mad and disappointed of her being a liar about her relationship to sell more albums and to get more fame. My connection to what is happening so far in this book is that I have been a liar when I was younger, but I only lied and told back the truth afterwards. Next, I think that Maude will go back to living a normal life for some time.

Started this last night and I've been FLYING through this! I can't stop reading.

In this book, the author uses strong words to build setting, character, and mood, and presents a picture for the reader. "The air was dampening"; dampening gives you the depressed mood of rain and gloom. "Your outrageous behavior"; outrageous shows that a character is furious. "The interior, however, was astounding"; with just the word astounding, you already know that the setting is beautiful and breath-taking.

However, I don't understand how this person saw Maude as arrogant. If anything, the character was portrayed insecure, doubting herself more often than she should.

"Maude is a great main character; passionate and determined, even if slightly arrogant- but it all works." I agree and disagree with this person's review. I definitely believe Maude has extreme passion and determination, this was proved by her passion for her craft, music, as well as her being determined to get through all of the problems life has to offer her, like dealing with scandals, family troubles, and love.
