Yeah, of course, let's blame Jane for not handing the OP spike to Leo. WHY would you want to give it to HIM????? Why did you just say: I didn't do my job by not providing him with the spike?????? What is this madness????

It just feels like too much - info, action, theories and ancient history and special powers. There was Atlantis, Artemis, Noah (like the Arch and flood guy) and Judas's son... The security she spent ALL this time building? useless. The MOC that had no equal? Lying uselessly on the floor. Something has gone very wrong with this plot, IMAO.

Wau, wau, wau... she didn't just "you're the only one who can save us, a great main character"... ?! This reminds me too much of the party BS clusterfudge. The plot was flowing and dancing, fast and unexpected and enticing, now it's a drunk, smashing things and making a mess, heavy-handed in its direction and purpose.

A lot happened and... it's such a mess I am not sure if I am angry or excited. Probably both. And neither. Mostly, I am confused. The light dragon was causing problems but when Soul was like: you didn't help, Jane immediately went into recrimination? Leo tried to kill her but she feels all bad for being able to defeat him and for him getting kidnapped?? Makes NO sense. Self-respect, anyone?

This is stupid. I don't like it. Drama BS is what this is. Leo is doing BS, George was obviously doing too good so he also had to ef up... and I just wish they would make up and focus on the real threat instead of playing stupid games of pride and whose' bigger. Yes, I mostly mean Leo. Can't we just all get along? Sheesh, like 5-year-olds...

So.... what does it say about me that I want Jane to change and for Beast to sniff Alex and like him, maybe call him a kit and let him pet her? Like, really want it? Now that the walls are coming down? No? Just me?

Bullseye, George. Look, Jane, I like you, but just like you provided some... much-needed commentary, so you could too take some advice. Now say it with me: I am over a century old. See? Wasn't so hard.

I am not quite sure what I think of vamps and how I feel about their... nature and existence but I do wonder what Jane's view means for them. Is her refusal to offer her blood a power-play, keeping her in some position of power or authority? But then, vamps feed each other so perhaps it's more of an insult, showing her disdain for their species. She takes their special blood readily enough... hypocrite?

What a snafu. I don't think Jane made a mistake, I maybe understand what one of my fav vamps wanted to achieve, the results... not that great. And I do think Jane should offer an apology in the form that would actually signify something - her blood. He knows what she is, she can regenarate the blood and it can tick off Leo - seems like a good idea to me.

OH MY. What a great start to the book. The Leo and Europe council was suprisingly good, then a little family moment and now flowers??? I am not dying flowers in a vase kinda girl but Jane's reaction? Priceless. Funny and tender and strange and hurt... and they have catnip???? I am starting to bat for this romance.

Oh and Derek being Leo's meal? I like that. I wouldn't, before, but he was rude to Jane so him being "taken down a peg" appeals. Changes, changes all around. Good.

Anytime I hear Jane describing some weapon specs, I want to ask some random American if those numbers and words mean something to them or of it's only meant to add credibility to Jane's expertise. I understand only very rudimentary facts but Jane describes them like one describes cars, so maybe it's just my personal lack of knowledge.

Hmmm... I wouldn't mind seeing said licking and petting? Especially the one happening right now in the showers... Just saying. I may be a prude, so I totally get you, but I miss some man-on-man action of my usual reading material and this is giving me all sorts of ideas: Leo and Gregoair AND the twins... oh my...

One of my favourite series ever. Second read for this one in anticipation of continuing on with this series.
