I didn't know if it was possible for someone to taste like starlight and a cool night wind, but that was exactly what Hunter's mouth had been like as it moved over my own.

I never liked human hospitals. The smell of sickness and death was barely covered by the stench of the industrial antiseptics they used. I felt vaguely nauseated but now was not the time for weakness.

I don't understand why every single book in existence that has a hospital in it has to make this statement. I've been to plenty of hospitals and seen my loved ones die in them and I don't have this aversion.
