Status Updates From The Tears of Nero (The Halo...

I've been reading the book over breakfast. It's interesting, but I'm having a hard time getting into it. Maybe it's because I'm still trying to figure out the characters, what makes them tick? I can't care what happens until I know who they are, but the story involves unraveling their lives and pasts bit by bit. The story is definitely chilling in a horror story kind of way.
