Okay so the plot finally started at 70% like wtf ?

Since the 70% mark it’s worth it but before that it’s just a romance with no plot apart from « oh my god, I loved you since we were teenager but we couldn’t be together ». Like please can we start having a real story.

I also am in a reading slump and I absolutely do not feel like reading a romance so maybe I’m too harsh 🫣

Starting to think this might be at least partially written by AI. Theres several tells in here, and unnatural language. Also entire paragraphs that are almost identical to other books. It’s lazy either way, and really poorly done. The plot is cringe too, and I’m just kinda checking out here.

I’m not sure about this one because the premise is cool and whatever but I feel like they’ve hooked up too soon and it’s dragging the boom out now. My kindle says it’s 52% and I’m like…what the heck can happen for another whole half of a book?!

DNF - Ugh life is too short to read shitty books, this man STILL hasn’t told her the truth. He’s all worried about being sure she’s sober for their first time and it’s like THE BARE MINIMUM is supposed to make up for the fact that he’s *checks notes* still lying to her about the circumstances surrounding her fathers death and treating her like a child.

THIS WHOLE BOOK SHES BEEN ALL “you can’t buy me” AND NOW SHES ALL “name your price”????

It’s like the author wrote all the spicy scenes separately before this book was written and just plugged them in as this book was being written. The characters in the Spivey scenes are completely different from what they’ve been the rest of the book 🙄
