Status Updates From The Boy in His Winter Lib/E...

Progress is slow.

The only character that is featured throughout the book is a very bland, politically correct Huck Finn. There is nothing remotely interesting about this version of Huck and so reading on has become a battle.

I am trying to care what happens to him but really he could fall off a cliff to his death in the next sentence and it would not emotionally effect me at all.

Couldn't force myself to pick this one back up yesterday. Either I finish it today r it shall remain eternally unfinished. Life is just too short.

For some reason this reminds me a lot of Lincoln in the Bardo. One of those books that might be good if I were in the mood for it and yet I never have been.

Goodreads won't update on my phone and I just typed a lovely status message on the computer for this book and GR didn't post it.

Basically, it is either brilliant or one of the worst things ever written. Time will hopefully tell.

Not really sure how I feel about this.
