Status Updates From ประชาธิปไตย: ความรู้ฉบับพกพา

It is a good quick introduction to democracy, but it is very Eurocentric and American centric. I would like more representation of democracy from other parts of the world. Though this edition was published in ‘02, so I will give it the benefit of the doubt there.

I do feel like it lost the plot a bit in the section about the American revolution and Toqueville - that felt very convoluted

So cool that we’ve just erased Western Africa as the origin of democracy
