Much better but def not entirely what I wanted it to be like it also wasn’t too heavy on the step brother aspect of their relationship which I didn’t love and I feel like Zach should’ve been with someone like himself but whatever. Would’ve been cool if it was his teammate too but hoping to get all of that minus the step brothers part in the next one since Ryan was described as big too so we’ll see

I liked it less honestly as it sat with me but it’s not necessarily the book’s fault but rather it’s just not up to my standards in terms of things I like to read like I feel like Zach would have been way better suited with someone with his personality rather than the bratty feminine type which nothing wrong with it but I feel like it would’ve been better with someone like himself bc I just don’t see it

Also I actually really like Zach like at first I was like tf bc he kidnapped and wanted to kill Merci after he pushed him down the stairs even tho it was Zach’s fault for locking him in the closet in the first place…but then I realized poor Zach isn’t actually some psycho but just got brain damage as a child so ppl think he’s psychotic but he just has a messed up brain and yeah I really like Zach

This was my most anticipated one of the series and the whole reason I began the series in the first place. When I first started it I was worried tho it would be like the first book where Merci was some little skittish mouse like Eli…but I was wrong. He has quite the backbone and speaks up for himself and defends himself and isn’t scared to do it. Like he literally kicked Viktor in the face bc he was jealous LOL

You can always tell when something is gonna piss you off while reading. And this book is doing it already. I understand having beef and then hating the other person, but merci didn’t do anything wrong what is all this hatred for!!!!!!! Like you want this boy dead for something you caused that backfired on you.!
