'Dear Superman':
Tugged at my heart strings. Oh my goodness.
Connie Courageous. The way Superman came to bring Connie for a ride along. The heart breaking, "Thank you." Ugh.
I cried. Yes.

'In Care Of':
Listen, this hits close to home because I have diabetes. But his has mutated into some sort of monster that seems to grow from the insulin that he takes. The fact that he's diabetic and he needs it, but it's feeding that mutagen part of him. I can't imagine a more perfect outcome. I'm not sure if there's a second part, but there has to be.. I need it.

'Flowers for Bizzaro':
We get to see Bizzaro when he's granted comprehension. It ultimately turns his life around, and he wants to become his own person and is sent to another planet after he discovers he doesn't want to be a hero.
The insight to how powerful Superman really is, it's great to see how much humility he possesses. He really is my favorite superhero.. 🥰🥰

My numbers are messed on here compared to my Hoopla, I apologize for any confusion.
'Tears For Krypton' is heartfelt. I would've been lost in that reality, truth. Kal-El is such a down-to-earth alien. He's so sweet. The way he cried for his people and was still able to choose the higher road of this scenario. I love the way this turned out.

'Space Actually' is adorable. This is why I love Superman so much. He's so great. "My Russian isn't great, but.." starts speaking fluent Russian. So modest.

'Saved' is a cute and messed up comic. Don't get too enthralled with an icon. You start to glorify them to heights they can not reach. Superman is still Clark Kent 🥰🥰
I loved the weird cult.

I loved this small comic so much. 'Like Father, Like Son' is an amazing look into the mind of Superman while he navigates what he wants to do. He starts in space, followed by talking to his father and Zod, and soon, he's battling Mogul in the open for the first time. He finally comes home and accepts that he's both Clark Kent and Kal-El. Cute 🥰

Some of the stories are stronger than others (the ones reflecting New 52 continuity are ALWAYS weak, unsurprisingly), but this volume is still a great capsule of what makes Superman an icon. He's the American ideal, an immigrant who embraces his new homeland and culture without abandoning any of what made his place of origin special.
