Status Updates From The House At Riverton

Last 70 pages. I feel like so much has happened yet nothing has happened. I do like the book though it’s sweet.

Okay the plot twist that I knew was coming has happened. Then there was the marriage proposal, i’d hoped it would be a bit more drama but still so far so good. If this is anything like the other book i’m sure there will be a plot twist i don’t see happening.

I feel so bad for hannah and Deborah if so annoying! i am really getting invested with the characters now! I am really enjoying this!

Okayyyy!! We’re getting somewhere. I feel like the story is picking up. I really like it because it kind of gives me Dickens vibes, lots of rambling but with a story and i like it because it’s about normal life. I feel like the people who don’t like it haven’t read classics or books that were actually written in this era. It feels like the modern version of a Dickens Story.

it’s very slow. A lot of descriptions which i’m sure are important and very beautifully written but it’s a little long. I think it’s getting more interesting but not even half way through yet. Will have to see! Definitely enjoying it though. She is an incredible author.

so far so good. I like that i’m always trying to guess what happened. The vocab is a bit harder to read that what i’m used to and it’s definitely slow but i love the writing style and i am intrigued
