Great book would recommend

this is retarded. he's afraid to fuck his wife. a man who is in charge of a biological society. its just a stupid construct by the author. she makes her characters stupid so you will belive this shit. but it just doesnt fly! its stupid and annoying.

the characters in the story are forever making sexual innuendos like... 'nudge nudge wink wink'. its funnier when monty python does it, and it is not romantic at all.

Really not finding this one engaging. sigh.
I may DNF...

i was expecting alex to be the obtuse one, but its caroline. She has a severe case of low self esteme. Its bloody annoying.
i also thought they would marry at the start and the book would be about them getting to know eachother. Instead there is no end in sight to their idiotic courtship.

alex has been betrothed to olivia since thwy were babies. but back then nobody knew what a horrid person olivia would grow into. now his only way to escape is to marry someone else in the next month. but who woukd wish to marry a socially dull scientist? caroline lives on the charity of her cousins olivia and marcus. only her interst in science makes olivia bearable.
