In the chapters I just read, Steiner was talking about how everything inside us (as in the spiritual components of our being) was once outside us. So too, we'll one day human-ify the physical.
He also talked about the separation of the sexes and its relationship to human evolution. The idea is that the male impulse physicalizes, and the female impulse is more spiritual.
