to me this is the kind of story that might hit if you’ve never ever read or watched any kind of ancient chinese story or any kind of reincarnation romance. i enjoy a sad ending but it has to hit. this didn’t. ehhhh i’m glad to be done.

well my earlier guess was probably wrong but it would’ve made things more interesting imo. man i can’t wait to be done.

my guess is that the true soulmate is going to be revealed to be not who the story is presenting

i have no problem with sex in books but i do have a problem with unarousing sex. or maybe it’s the narration idek.

i do feel some momentum but i still don’t like multiple timelines

while not great the modern day LA stuff is better to me than the “historical” stuff. idk something about it….
