chapter 2 was about the agreement/relationships between big companies and the police. the big companies exploit labor of employees to earn more capital, and fund the police to criminalize and shut down protests of unions. all the while crafting a racist narrative to divide working class whites and Black folks, discouraging interracial collaboration and unionization (btw these tactics inspired nazi Germany)

UGH
reading this makes me feel like I'm going crazy bc of how corrupt and connected everything is
chapter 1 talks about the setup for Cop City and the kairos of the situation
not enough room to write it all here but it's maddening to see problems caused by the police and city legislation further perpetuated as they double down on their tactics to "fix" the problem they created

WOO just by the intro I can tell I'm gonna love this book
-a decentralized movement thst works on many fronts against many targets is effective and powerful
-all kinds of people, efforts, groups, and individuals are needed, regardless of how you politically label yourself
-it's worth it to fight, even when the outcome isn't known and setbacks occur
-we are all interconnected! our struggle and liberation is collective
