Status Updates From The Chosen and the Beautiful

so far absolutely gripped by Vo’s reimagining of Jordan (and how queer she’s making Jordan, Nick, and Gatsby)!!! Love the paper-cutting-as-magic, and how terrifying/conflicting harnessing that power is for Jordan. An appropriate amount of dread and summer heat for a Gatsby retelling. Hope I’m not jinxing Vo by saying that this might be a successful adaptation of a notoriously “unadaptable” classic??
