Notes:
(1) Things were getting pretty good during the middle two issues, when there was some mystery and conspiracy to the plot, but the last issue just drops the ball entirely.
- We end on a cozy existence in an outcast ghetto which, frankly, doesn't feel like banishment at all, but relief from characters' previous walking-on-eggshells urban existence.
- Where's the drama?

Notes:
(1) My first impression is that I like the concept more than the story.
- The story's decidedly unsubtle and unelaborate. Though, being not-so-complex (art as well) means it's a breeze to read.
(2) What we have here is a magical shame culture, where misdeeds result in animalistic disfigurement.
- There's a clear class or caste aspect, with racial and queer overtones.

Notes:
(1) I don't quite know what to expect from this outside of the covers being rather eye-catching and Greg Pak's work with DC Comics.
- The blurb says it's for fans of "Wynd" and "Monstress." Which, while more or less the same genre, is quite the disparity of tone and presentation.
(2) Book suggestion by ℛomi.
