getting ready for the movie not sure if im excited or scared for the movie but im preparing myself either way

Utterly useless chapter. Odysseus meets up with his swine herd while disguised and when the swine herd asks him who he is and where he came from, Odysseus tells a made up story with nearly as much detail as he did the exciting tales that actually happened! What are we doing here? 4 pages on a alibi that will never come up again?? Bruh.

Fun fact: In The Odyssey, the Greek goddess Athena disguises herself as a man named Mentor to guide Telemachus.

That legacy is still with us today. Every time we say someone has a mentor, we’re echoing a character from one of the oldest stories in Western literature.
